As many of you probably are aware, this past Sunday marked the official first day of fall. I’m conflicted over how I feel about this. For some reason, I had a really hard time seeing summer drift away. In years past, I’ve welcomed fall with open arms.
To counteract this bout of the summer-is-over blues, I had to remind myself of all that is great about Autumn: apple picking, pumpkin patches, the changing of the leaves, getting to wear sweaters and scarves again…(this picture pretty much sums it up). You really can fall in love with fall. Pun totally intended.
Another reason to love this season that’s upon us? Decorating! There’s a lot that can be done with fall-themed things, like apples and leaves. You can dress up a door, the porch, make a festive centerpiece…the list goes on. I personally like to have something up on my front door, even if it’s simple.
For inspiration, I did some hunting around for festive door decoration projects. Let me tell you, there are countless ideas out there! These five projects caught my attention for their unique use of materials. They also all have that cozy fall vibe going on. Most require only four supplies or less, keeping the process from getting complicated. Check ‘em out and let me know what you think!
